The Program is addressed to students attending public primary and secondary schools in socioeconomically vulnerable areas across Greece, as well as in regions affected by natural disasters (e.g., floods, wildfires). It provides them with a nutritious and healthy daily meal.
The Program serves a dual purpose:
- To provide a free mid-morning meal to all students in participating schools, ensuring their nutrition during school hours.
- To promote healthy eating by encouraging students and their families to adopt healthy dietary habits.
How does it work?
- Schools from all over Greece are selected based on social and economic criteria, following their application to the Program.
- Meals are specially designed by the Program’s scientific team and are prepared by certified suppliers who meet strict standards for production, storage, and transportation.
- These high-quality meals, tailored to the students’ age groups, are delivered directly to the schools.
- Program staff are present at schools on a daily basis to support and monitor the implementation of the Program’s procedures.
- An open communication line is available for all involved or interested parties to directly contact the Program team.
- Educational materials promoting healthy eating are distributed to students and their families.
