Food Insecurity
The DIATROFI Program has significantly contributed to reducing food insecurity. According to data collected between 2012 and 2023:
· The Program eliminated hunger for 34% of children who were experiencing it.
· It also eliminated food insecurity for 21% of children previously facing it.
Specifically, in the 2022–2023 school year:
39.8% of families who were food insecure at the start of the year were no longer food insecure at the end.
55.7% of families experiencing food insecurity with hunger at the beginning no longer faced it by year’s end.
44.1% of underweight students reached a normal weight by the end of the year.
