Meeting nutritional needs

When designing the meals and dietary plans, the following are taken into account:

  1. The daily energy requirements (caloric intake) of children.
  2. The daily needs for macronutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, fats, dietary fiber).
  3. The daily needs for essential micronutrients (e.g., calcium, iron, folic acid), which are critical for normal growth and function during childhood and adolescence.
  4. The principles of healthy eating, along with the characteristics of the traditional Greek diet.
